What We Do
With assistance programs in Mexico, Thailand, Haiti, and Uganda One Life One Chance has connected Canadians and Americans to projects for over seventeen years through its parent ministry Stoney Creek. The goal has always been the same; 1) to help people meet their deepest need - a relationship with Jesus Christ, and 2) aid indigenous ministries already involved in humanitarian and ministry work, and 3) provide infrastructure to communities that lack adequate shelter, education, and basic needs. Further, be the vehicle that connects the short term missionary to foreign ministries. This partnership has assisted thousands and touched countless lives over the years. Many have embraced Jesus as their Savior and brought health to families broken by separation and addiction. Not to mention those who have embraced a missional calling during their time of service, and committed to furthering support in full and part time ministry.
As James 1:27 has commanded us to look after Orphans and Widows, the challenge moved One Life towards seeking charitable status in 2007. Obedient, God opened a window of opportunity to bring further care to a community in southern Baja, Mexico. With God’s clear call to partner with the people of the San Quintin Valley, One Life One Chance purchased land for serving the larger community www.losolivosrvpark.com. It is our calling to provide a village, within a village, for the support of local ministries and the Lord; with multi-year plans to develop everything from an orphanage and educational facility to basic medical and social services. Most exciting is an education for care exchange program that promotes life skills, adequate care, and trade development to the disadvantaged. Purposefully driven to reach the lost, provide basic needs to the orphans and widows, and partner with the local church and community.
Our outreach is global…the vision doesn't end in Mexico. Jesus commanded us to go into the whole world; Mark 16:15 says "He said to them, Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." With that we have purpose and it is without exception. Christ died for all and One Life desires to bring healing to our global community one family at a time."
