I have been married to my wife, Aida de la Rosa Nunez, for 20 years, and we have been blessed with 3 children – Jemima Aida (18), Tania (17), and David (11). In the year 1979, God touched my life through preaching, and I made the decision to serve him at the age of 15 years old. I was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ in the city of Torreon Coahuila, Mexico. The calling to preach and practice the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ was transforming my life through preparation in Seminary, university, work, my family, and the church.
At the age of 24 I began my career of service as an evangelist in the north villages. After that I served as a deacon and a local leader in Torreon. In 1993, my wife and I began our social justice ministry in Tarahumara of Chihuahua, where we worked for 12 more years. We founded a church in the city of Chihuahua, strengthening the “net” of social justice ministries. In 2006, God called us to San Quintin to begin the ministry “For Love of San Quintin” Civil Association, through which we serve the agricultural day labourers of the valley, single mother day labourers, children at risk, and vulnerable groups.
I see God working through ministries that are well coordinated, that mutually edify each other for the glory of Christ and the salvation of the lost. I see God revealing himself through the community of men, women and children that worship in spirit and in truth, that have a simple faith and a living, vibrant hope that makes them love unconditionally.
The primary needs of this community are: 1) well balanced, nutritious food (a food bank?); 2) housing and access to land with power, water and sewage services; 3) access to medical care; 4) education; 5) recreational family centers
