One Life’s Statement in Response to Covid-19

Praying over the San Quintin Valley

Hello Friends,

These are interesting times! In a world of change, we continue to be optimistic and hopeful; even more for the needs of the people we serve!

Below is the One Life statement on the Covid-19 virus. It’s simple but necessary. We serve an amazing God! I know He goes before us!!

Jeremiah 32:17 New International Version (NIV)
“Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”

We will continue to give updates, as they become available.

If you are a team participant in 2020 and you have questions, please connect with your team leader.

These days are like no other, and our response to the international health crisis is important. One Life is following the advice and direction from Provincial and National authorities in Canada, concerning our staff team and ministry plans for 2020. As each day is new and arrives with different circumstances, One Life has determined to pause further decisions about how to proceed with our Short-term Mission Program, until the end of March. At that time, in consultation with our 2020 team leaders, we will reassess the travel to and from Mexico. For the teams which are planning to serve with us this year, we will continue on-going communication with team leaders with the most relevant information and updates.

Our ministry staff teams in Canada and Mexico continue their daily work and service as best we can, to serve communities in San Quintin, as the Lord leads. We are grateful for technology, which allows us to work remotely and to collaborate across distances and languages!

We deeply appreciate your continued support, both in resources and prayer, during this time of uncertainty. We always look to the One who is constant and who provides for His children.

Matthew 6:25 – 34

It deeply saddens me to know that the summer plans have been derailed, and now too much rain!! My heart goes out to the families that were looking forward to getting a new home. I will continue to Pray for you the staff and all those you support in what is still my favourite place San Quintin.
