The Work In Mexico

One Life One Chance Ministries is a Canadian charity founded in 2007, based in Chilliwack, BC. OLOCM works primarily in the San Quintin Valley, Baja, Mexico supporting local indigenous ministries, encouraging the Church, and bringing the love and hope of Jesus Christ to people and communities.

We use our Base at Los Olivos to connect with indigenous ministries by being a neutral ministry site and using the property as a basecamp for serving teams. Providing shelter and basic needs, support in communities can be as significant as a new, secure home or a nourishing meal. All of this is done through the local church. With multi-year plans to develop everything from a children’s shelter and educational facility, to basic medical and social services at Los Olivos, One Life One Chance Ministries is in for the long-term.

Mission Statement

Partnering with people to transform communities for the glory of God.

In all these things, the goal is leading people to Jesus Christ. If our aid gives indigenous ministries a hand-up and the Base provides infrastructure, basic needs will be met, and the local church empowered to fulfill their calling to make Jesus Christ known in their communities. God has called OLOCM to the San Quintin Valley for this time to support and to help equip His Church and to see lives transformed for His glory.

The vision for OLOCM was borne out of more than 20 years of cross-cultural ministry in Mexico, Uganda, Haiti and Thailand begun by its sister organization, Stoney Creek Expeditions.

The Work Around the World

The vision doesn’t end in Mexico. Jesus commanded us to go into the whole world. With that we have purpose and it is without exception. Each of us can serve and ‘go’ each day where ever we are.

And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”
